Peugeot RCZ Review

In this article, we will examine a model that made the Peugeot brand come to life in the sports car field in a refreshed way. This car is none other than RCZ! We will examine the details about the Peugeot RCZ under three main categories such as The Features of the Peugeot RCZThe Fuel Consumption of the Peugeot RCZ, and Does It Suit You? These categories have prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of this car. RCZ, a member of the sports coupe class, was officially introduced to the public for the first time at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009. RCZ, a member of the sports coupe class, was officially introduced to the public for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2009. After a year, mass production started, and the RCZ became a brand-new sports car model for Peugeot. The RCZ, which has many awards in its collection, is undoubtedly a ground-breaking model for Peugeot in the coupe class.

The Features of the Peugeot RCZ

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Peugeot RCZ. We can start with the exterior design of the Peugeot RCZ. When you look at the body design of the car, you can immediately see that it is a coupe class vehicle. One of the biggest reasons for this situation is the RCZ's compact and dynamic body design. When we look at the front of the vehicle, it is possible to see the classic Peugeot design. The headlights and bumper have an aesthetically curvy design, while the famous Peugeot lion stands out on the hood.  In addition, sharp lines on the body contribute to the sporty character of the car. In terms of aerodynamics, it provides flawless airflow thanks to very smooth body design. One of the most impressive parts of the vehicle is the rear window section. The rear window, which has a curved structure, looks like a work of art. While most sports cars on the market use body panels formed in this way, the production materials will generally be the same as the body material. However, Peugeot designers seem to have managed to turn this aerodynamic feature into an aesthetic detail by using glass. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Peugeot RCZ. When focusing on interior design, it cannot be said that the first generation was very successful in terms of design. However, after the design revolution experienced by the Peugeot brand in recent years, we can say that the new generation RCZ has a unique design. A minimal centre console made the interior of the vehicle look simple and stylish. The design team maintained this simple design by placing a touchscreen infotainment screen in the centre instead of unnecessarily many control keys. The interior panels were created using dynamic and sporty lines in accordance with the exterior design. Although the colour palette used in the car is usually black and dark tones, red details are added to the design if you purchase the GTI package. It is a very nice detail that this situation adds colour to the cabin.

The Fuel Consumption of the Peugeot RCZ

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Peugeot RCZ. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Peugeot RCZ has got two standard engine varieties such as 1.6 and 2.0 HDi. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 2.0 HDi. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1997 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 163 HP and 3750 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 2.0 HDi has got a 6,5lt/100km (which refers to 43 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption performance in Urban usage. However, this MPG performance decreasing to 4,2lt/100km (which refers to 67 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these two fuel consumption data, we get a 5,0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption rate. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 1.6 R. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1598 cm3 size. It is a Diesel Type Engine which produces 270 Horsepower and 6000 RPM Torque. 1.6 R has got an 8,4lt/100km (which refers to 34 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 5,1lt/100km (which refers to 55 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two MPG data, we get a 6,3lt/100km (which refers to 45 MPG in the UK) average MPG data.

Does It Suit You?

Considering the features of the Peugeot RCZ mentioned above, it cannot be said that it is an ideal car for families. However, if you are looking for an aesthetic and sporty car with average fuel consumption, the RCZ might be a good choice for you! With its performance and agility, the RCZ will make you feel the joy of driving to the bone. It is also very economical for a car that can show this performance. So if you want some adrenaline and youth, you can check out RCZ.
