Peugeot 3008 Review

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Peugeot 3008. We will examine the details about the Peugeot 3008 under three main categories such as The Features of the Peugeot 3008, The Fuel Consumption of the Peugeot 3008, and Basic Characteristics of Peugeot 3008. These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Peugeot 3008. The 3008 model is a Compact Crossover SUV manufactured by the French manufacturer Peugeot since 2008. The car has a history of two generations, and the new generation was introduced to the public at the Paris Motor Show in 2016. The car, which received very positive feedback especially in the period when it was launched, is one of the most important models of Peugeot in the field of SUVs. Built on the PSA EMP2 platform, the car will be re-launched and renewed by Peugeot in 2021.

The Features of the Peugeot 3008

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Peugeot 3008. We can start with the exterior design of the Peugeot 3008. When we look at the exterior of the car, we witness that the futuristic design trend that Peugeot has applied to all new generation cars in recent years is felt in every detail. While chrome details are generally used as small touches in most cars, chrome details take a very important place in the exterior design of the 3008. These details are so beautifully integrated into the body lines that they give the vehicle a stylish look. Therefore, it is necessary to congratulate the design team. At the same time, the front and rear LED headlights have a very impressive design. Especially the three-line design at the back is very striking. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Peugeot 308. When we look at the interior design, we encounter a much more impressive design concept from the outside. The Peugeot 3008 cockpit is in front of us in a magnificent way, with its appearance almost like a space shuttle! The interior design of the car blends the definition of modernity with advanced technology so well that we only have to sit and watch. First of all, two huge digital screens on the dashboard catch our eye. One of them is a digital instrument panel while the other is a multimedia screen. Drivers and passengers can provide all the information they need from these two screens. The shape of the centre console has been focused on the driver with an unusual design. All control mechanisms were used aesthetically and at the same time in a way that the driver can easily reach. Finally, the steering wheel has an interesting yet comfortable design. Close to the elliptical, the middle part has a geometric shape. Thus, the driver has gained an ergonomic and comfortable steering wheel instead of a huge and bulky one.

The Fuel Consumption of the Peugeot 3008

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Peugeot 3008. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Peugeot 3008 has got five standard engine varieties such as 1.2, 1.5 HDi, 1.6, 1.6 HDi and 2.0 HDi. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 1.5 HDi. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1499 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 131 HP and 3750 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.5 HDi has got a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 3,0lt/100km (which refers to 94 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 2.0 HDi. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1997 cm3 size. It is a Diesel Type Engine which produces 180 Horsepower and 3750 RPM Torque. 2.0 HDi has got a 5,5lt/100km (which refers to 51 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 4,4lt/100km (which refers to 64 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 4,8lt/100km (which refers to 59 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
