I measured the consumption (at the pump) of the 2.0 petrol manual for 5 years in a combined town-highway-motorway cycle, both winter and summer. I am a dynamic driver, but the average is 8.4 liters/100 km. I tested the instantaneous consumption meter against real world consumption and the difference was just 0.1 l/100 km, i.e. fairly accurate.
