Select the motor type for the year.

In this review, we are going to talk about the Ford Ka. We will focus on the details about the Ford Ka under three main categories such as; The Features of the Ford Ka, The Fuel Consumption of the Ford Ka and Does It Suit You? These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Ford Ka. It is a Subcompact Car which has been manufacturing by the American automobile manufacturer Ford Motor Company since 1996. However, the Ka model was not planned as a subcompact car. It was basically built on the Mark 4 Ford Fiesta. Although it was produced as a City Car in the first years of its production, it has evolved into the Subcompact category with the modifications it has undergone since 2016. Ford Ka, which has a history of three generations, had its first and most remarkable design thanks to Claude Lobo.

The Features of the Ford Ka

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Ford Ka. We can start with the exterior design features of the Ford Ka. The new generation Ford Ka was introduced in 2013 by Ford Brazil. The main body is built on Ford's Global B-Car Platform. Although it shows some similarities with Ford Fiesta, it also has significant differences. Ford's brand new grille design can be seen in Ka as in any new model. Thanks to this design, Ford Ka shows that it is no longer a City Car class car. It's wider and bigger now. In addition to that, the new generation Ka with more dynamic and sharp body lines looks much more sporty than previous generations. The renewed front and rear headlight designs make the car quite stylish. Now, we are moving on to the interior design features of the Ford Ka. The Ford Ka has a very classic cockpit design. Although it has simple design features, everything is positioned as it should. A touchscreen infotainment screen is located on the center console. So, you can easily access all the information and software you need. Also, all the control mechanisms you need to use are drive-oriented. So, driving the vehicle is much easier than you think. Finally, we will check out the technological features of the Ford Ka. Although Ford Ka is seen as a small model by most people, it has all the features you need. For example, many features are available on the Ka, such as Keyless Entry, Cruise Control, Power-fold Mirrors and Electronic Stability Control. At the same time, features such as Ford's MyKey and SYNC Infotainment Software provide a practical and comfortable driving experience.

The Fuel Consumption of the Ford Ka

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Ford Ka. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That’s why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Ford Ka has got two standard engine varieties such as; 1.2 and 1.5 TDCi. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. However, the new generation Ford Ka allows you to find both features in one engine type. Therefore, we will examine a single engine type in details. The type of engine we are talking about is 1.5 TDCi. It has got a four cylindered inner engine structure with a 1499 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system, so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 95 HP and 3750 RPM Torque. According to the official Ford factory data, 1.5 TDCi has got a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption rate in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption decreasing to 3,0lt/100km (which refers to 94 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as; Highways or Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two MPG data, we get a 3,0lt/100km (which refers to 94 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.

Does It Suit You?

The Ka model is perhaps one of the most sympathetic models Ford has. It is a very interesting vehicle with its dynamic and energetic structure. It is also a budget-friendly vehicle. You don't have to spend a lot of money to buy it. Lastly, the fuel-efficient Ford Ka is a very satisfying car with its performance. If you ask me if it's a suitable vehicle for me, my answer is definitely yes!
