Skoda Karoq Review

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Skoda Karoq. We will examine the details about the Skoda Karoq under three main categories such as The Features of the Skoda Karoq, The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Karoq and Does It Suit You? These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Skoda Karoq. The Karoq is a compact crossover SUV class vehicle produced by the Czech automaker Skoda. While the company continues to produce its cars under the umbrella of Volkswagen Group, it introduced the Karoq model as the successor of Skoda Yeti in 2017. It is built on Volkswagen's MQB A1 platform. The car is assembled in four different countries such as Germany, Russia, Czechia, and China. The Karoq model stands out as a move to increase Skoda's power in the SUV segment.

The Features of the Skoda Karoq

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Skoda Karoq. We can start with the exterior design of the Skoda Karoq. The Skoda Karoq has a very modern and stylish design. While building the car, Skoda's design team has continued to use parts of popular Skoda designs that have emerged in recent years. For example, most of the latest generation Skoda models have similar nose designs. Although this situation is described as laziness according to some, the design of the car is very successful. Therefore, the number of negative reviews is quite low. With its body size smaller than its sister Kodiaq, Karoq has a more compact design. Front and rear LED headlights to complete the linear design of the Karoq, making the car stand out. The lower grilles with honeycomb design are in harmony with the general structure of the car. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Skoda Karoq. When it comes to interior design, Skoda has done a very high-quality job. The use of dark tones in the cabin design made the cabin look very clean and beautiful. The Karoq, which has a useful and driver-centred cabin layout, has features that will comfort the driver in functional terms. First of all, the digital instrument panel supports the driver by warning not only about the vehicle but also about environmental factors. The touchscreen multimedia screen in the centre console, with its large size, gives the driver and passengers a very clear and easy use. The SMARTLINK + system provides a very attractive infrastructure at this point. In addition to these, aesthetic and technical details such as the wireless charging unit at the bottom, "KAROQ" lighting reflected on the asphalt from under the doors, and 10 different interior lighting make the car one of the top segment vehicles. Being one of the leading vehicles in terms of safety, Karoq showed a five-star performance in tests conducted by EURO NCAP. At the same time, it has maximized the safety level with various technological infrastructures such as passenger protection assistant and fatigue detection system.

The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Karoq

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Skoda Karoq. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Skoda Karoq has got five standard engine varieties such as 1.0 TSI, 1.5 TSI, 1.6 TDI, 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TSI. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 1.6 TDI. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1598 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 115 HP and 3250 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.6 TDI has got a 5,0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in the UK) fuel economy performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg rates, we get a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption performance. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 2.0 TSI. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1984 cm3 size. It is a Petrol Type Engine which produces 190 Horsepower and 5000 RPM Torque. 2.0 TSI has got an 8,0lt/100km (which refers to 35 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this mpg performance decreasing to 5,0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these mpg data, we get a 6,0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in the UK) average mpg data.

Does It Suit You?

Skoda Karoq is one of the best cars you can get in the SUV class. The Skoda brand has increased its quality level in recent years and started to make a name for itself in the market. The Karoq model is one of the models where Skoda has made a leap forward. Its design features, low fuel consumption, and advanced technological features make it an extremely attractive car. At the same time, the large interior volume it has as an SUV promises an extremely comfortable travel experience.
