Skoda Superb Review

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Skoda Superb. We will examine the details about the Skoda Superb under three main categories such as The Features of the Skoda Superb, The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Superb and Basic Characteristics of Skoda Superb. These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Skoda Superb. It is a large family car produced by the Czech-based automaker Skoda under the umbrella of the Volkswagen Group. The car has been in production since 2001 and has a three-generation history. The new generation model, which was introduced to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, has become one of the important models of Skoda by increasing its popularity every year. Although the brand headquarters is in Czechia, Superb are also produced at facilities in Kazakhstan, China and India and are available for sale almost all over the world.

The Features of the Skoda Superb

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Skoda Superb. We can start with the exterior design of the Skoda Superb. Skoda has undergone a major appearance overhaul in recent years compared to previous generations. The brand now creates more sporty and modern looking cars. Skoda's new design concept seems to apply to the new Superb model as well. The car has gotten rid of the old standard design details and has a much more impressive design. Built on Volkswagen's MQB Platform, the new generation Superb sedan stands out among the models. The sharpness of the body lines adds dynamism to the car, while the chrome details create a very elegant appearance. Although it has a strong design, one of the most important reasons why it does not give a bulky appearance is that the car keeps away from curved body lines. At this point, we have to say that the design team made the right choice. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Skoda Superb. When we look at the interior design of the car, we encounter a very attractive and well-organized cabin design. The multimedia screen in the centre console provides effective information flow to the driver and passengers, while the mini LCD screen on the instrument panel conveys information about the car. The seats offer a very comfortable travel experience with ergonomic details, while the spacious interior provides a fresh atmosphere.

The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Superb

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Skoda Superb. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Skoda Superb has got three standard engine varieties such as 1.5 TSI, 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TSI. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 1.6 TDI. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1598 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 120 HP and 4000 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.6 TDI has got a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 3,0lt/100km (which refers to 94 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 2.0 TSI. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1984 cm3 size. It is a Petrol Type Engine which produces 272 Horsepower and 5600 RPM Torque. 2.0 TSI has got an 8,0lt/100km (which refers to 35 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 6,0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 7,0lt/100km (which refers to 40 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
