Skoda Rapid Review

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Skoda Rapid. We will examine the details about the Skoda Rapid under three main categories such as The Features of the Skoda Rapid, The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Rapid and Basic Characteristics of Skoda Rapid. These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Skoda Rapid. It is a Small Family Car manufactured by the Czech Republic based automobile manufacturer Skoda within the Volkswagen Group since 2012. The name Rapid is not a new model for the Skoda brand. The name Rapid was used in some models produced in the past. However, with the new generation, the Rapid's face has changed considerably, and it has become one of the first models of the new generation for the Skoda brand. The car was first introduced to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and received positive attention. With the introduction of the Hatchback model in the future, there were positive developments in terms of popularity and sales for Skoda.

The Features of the Skoda Rapid

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Skoda Rapid. We can start with the exterior design of the Skoda Rapid. The exterior design of the car bears the traces of the first version of the new generation modern design concept that Skoda has switched to in recent years. With this concept, Skoda increased the popularity of the brand by creating much more sporty and modern automobile designs and received a significant positive feedback from the customer base. If we look at the body lines of the current generation, a much sharper and more aggressive characteristic is obvious. In addition, although there are not many radical changes, the concept used by Skoda still impressive. Details such as LED headlights and a renewed Skoda name plate on the rear make the new generation Rapid one of the most attractive vehicles in traffic. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Skoda Rapid. When we look at the interior design of the car, we see a minimal yet elegant cabin layout. It is not too flashy, but the Rapid's cabin layout allows you to easily meet all your needs. Especially the harmony of simplicity created with technology provides a practical and comfortable travel experience. Having a driver-oriented cabin layout brings the driver's attention to the road and maximizes the safety level during the journey. At the same time, the digital dashboard panel and the large multimedia screen in the middle are just some of the other details that increase the comfort level with its practical use for the driver and passengers.

The Fuel Consumption of the Skoda Rapid

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Skoda Rapid. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Skoda Rapid has got four standard engine varieties such as 1.0 TSI, 1.4 TDI, 1.4 TSI and 1.6 TDI. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 1.6 TDI. It has got a three cylindered engine structure with a 1422 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 90 HP and 3000 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.6 TDI has got a 4,4lt/100km (which refers to 64 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 3,7lt/100km (which refers to 76 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 3,9lt/100km (which refers to 72 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 1.4 TDI. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1395 cm3 size. It is a Diesel Type Engine which produces 125 Horsepower and 5000 RPM Torque. 1.4 TDI has got a 6,1lt/100km (which refers to 46 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 4,1lt/100km (which refers to 69 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 4,8lt/100km (which refers to 59 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
