Fiat Tipo Review

Today, we are going to talk about the Fiat Tipo. We will make an analysis about Tipo under three main categories such as; The Features of the Fiat Tipo, The Fuel Consumption of the Fiat Tipo and Does It Suits You? Before beginning to the analysis about the Tipo, I want to give some information to you about the vehicle. Fiat Tipo is a five doored, hatchback type vehicle which classified as a Compact Car. It designed by Ercole Spada who is an Italian designer working for I.DE.A Institute Design House. Tipo completely manufactured with Galvanized body panels as a pre-caution for rust. Tipo introduced in late 80’s. Throughout time, Tipo proved that it is a reliable and useful family car with the awards given to it. In 1989 Tipo won the European Car of the Year and Semperit Irish Car of the Year in Ireland.

The Features of the Fiat Tipo

Now, let’s talk about the features of the Fiat Tipo. At the beginning of the generations, Tipo had a boxy sharp design which gave a huge amount of space for loading stuff and passengers. This innovative design evolved into the Project Aegea when it first announced at the Istanbul Motor Show 2015. Tipo name remained in Europe Automotive Market but it turned into the Aegea name in Turkey Automotive Market. A more curvy and aesthetic structure designed for innovative Tipo model. The attractive grille design with chrome detail creates a perfect match with LED daylights. When we check out the interior design, the remarkable leather details on ergonomical passenger seats makes cockpit classy. Also, the instrumental panel design is basic and full of information which you need to know about the vehicle status. As Multimedia Entertainment System, Tipo using Uconnect System which has 7’’ HD Touchscreen where you can find everything you need with integrated voice command. It is also compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. On the other hand; Tipo has some driving safety features such as; ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) System which increase the traction on low grip roads by using brake and engine controls. Hill Holder also provides brake support for two seconds when you start on a hill.

The Fuel Consumption of the Fiat Tipo

We are going to talk about one of the most important subjects on analysis which is; The Fuel Consumption of the Fiat Tipo. We will make an examination on engines to reach proper results on fuel consumption analysis. We are going to use two main categories for it such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Fiat Tipo has three standard engine options such as; 1.3 JTD, 1.4, 1.6 JTD. Let’s start with the most economical one which is; 1.6 Multijet. It is a four cylindered, 1598 cm3 sized, Diesel type engine which produces 120 Horsepower and 3750 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.6 has got a 4.4lt/100km (which refers to 64 MPG in UK) MPG Performance in Urban usage. However, this performance decreasing to 3.3lt/100km (which refers to 85 MPG in UK) fuel efficiency in Extra Urban usage such as; Highways and Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two official data we get a 3.7lt/100km (which refers to 76 MPG in UK) average fuel consumption performance. Secondly, we are continuing with the most powerful one which is; 1.4 T-Jet. It is a four cylindered, 1368 cm3 sized, Petrol type engine which produces 120 Horsepower and 5000 RPM Torque. 1.4 T-Jet has got a 7.7lt/100km (which refers to 37 MPG in UK) fuel consumption rate in Urban usage. On the other hand, this rate decreasing to 5.0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in UK) as Extra Urban MPG Rate. When we gather these two data we get a 6.0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in UK) average fuel efficiency performance.

Does It Suits You?

If you ask me I would say it depends on your expectations. If you are looking for an expensive, ultra-luxury car which spoils you, you should try a different brand. However, if you are looking for a useful vehicle which uses technological features to increase driving comfort and fits your budget about the fuel cost, Fiat Tipo just for you!
