The name origin depends on a Spanish Island named Ibiza. It was available in five doored hatchback type only throughout generations. When Ibiza idea occurred, Seat turned this idea into the reality with the help of a collaboration which includes some big automotive companies such as; Italdesign, Porsche and Karmann. After that in next generation, Seat decided to use Volkswagen Group platform to produce Ibiza in future generations. Also, in 2010 Seat released a performance version of the Ibiza which named ST. Then this brand changed into the FR. Now, we will examine the Seat Ibiza under three main categories which are The Features of the Seat Ibiza, The Fuel Consumption of the Seat Ibiza and Does it Suits You?
The Features of the Seat Ibiza
In current generation, Seat gives you three main option to choose as official luxury packages. These packages are; Style, Xcellence and FR. Each luxury package has some characteristic features inside. Now, let’s talk about the body design of the Seat Ibiza. It has a classical five doored hatchback body design which seen as usual throughout generations. The difference is, by using present day’s advanced technology Seat made some amazing design stuff on Ibiza. By using support of the technology Ibiza has got a sharper and sportive design which reflects the class of the vehicle. Especially, with sharp lines on doors and the general body makes Seat Ibiza a point of interest which is hard to miss. Moreover, interior design of the Ibiza looks attractive either. With customizable skin colours and large cabin space which provides a comfortable trip to the driver and the passengers, Ibiza gives everything you need as a vehicle. What about technology? Don’t worry Ibiza offers you many advantages in field of innovative automotive technology. For instance, Full Link Entertainment System with a 6,5’’ Touch Screen gives anything you want from an entertainment system. It is Apple Car Play Compatible and includes GPS, Rear Parking Sensor and Adaptive Driving Profile which is a system for a comfortable driving experience when you set the proper mode to your driving skills. Another useful feature of the Seat Ibiza is Wireless Charging Unit. If you have a Smartphone with charge issues just put it to the Wireless Charging Unit. It will recharge your phone without using any unnecessary cord or anything else. To be honest this car looks like a swiss army knife which is very useful in real life for difficult situations.
The Fuel Consumption of the Seat Ibiza
Now, it’s time to talk about the fuel consumption of the Seat Ibiza. The New Ibiza has five standard engine option which are; 1.0, 1.0 TSI, 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TDI and 1.4 TSI. We are going to analyse two of these engines to make your decision easier about the engine type. We will use two main categories such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Let’s start with the most economical one which is 1.4 TDI Ecomotive. It is a three cylindered, 1422 cm3 sized, diesel type engine which produces 75 Horsepower and 3000 RPM Torque. 1.4 TDI has got a 4.1lt/100km (which refers to 69 MPG in UK) fuel consumption performance according to the official factory data in Urban usage. However, this MPG rate can decrease to 3.3lt/100km (which refers to 85 MPG in UK) at the Extra Urban usage such as; Highway and Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two data we get a 3.6lt/100km (which refers to 78 MPG in UK) average fuel consumption rate. Secondly, we are going to analyse the Most Powerful One which is 1.4 TSI FR. It is a four cylindered, 1395 cm3 sized, Petrol type engine which produces 150 Horsepower and 5000 RPM Torque. It is a special performance engine for FR brand which is a brand created for Seat performance vehicles. As usual for better performance you should sacrifice the fuel efficiency. This engine performs a 6.0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in UK) MPG in Urban usage. But when we drive in Extra Urban this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 4.1lt/100km (which refers to 69 MPG in UK) according to the official factory data. When we combine these two data we can see that, 1.4 TSI FR has got a 4.8lt/100km (which refers to 59 MPG in UK) average fuel consumption.
Does it Suits You?
To be conclude, I can say that with enough innovative technology and trendy design Seat Ibiza can attract your attention. If you have a low budget and looking for an economical vehicle you can check out some of the Diesel types of Ibiza. However, if you are looking for speed and excitement I advise you the FR version of Ibiza. I think Seat made an undeletable mark on supermini car industry with Ibiza brand. Why don’t you experience it?
