Mazda MX-5 Review

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Mazda MX-5. We will examine the details about the Mazda MX-5 under three main categories such as; The Features of the Mazda MX-5, The Fuel Consumption of the Mazda MX-5 and Does It Suit You? These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Mazda MX-5. It is a Roadster type vehicle that has been manufacturing by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda, since 1989. It is also known as "Miata" in the North American market. MX-5 had four different generations over the years. Each generation created a unique impact on the automobile world. The current generation released in the year of 2016. MX-5 is also known as the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history.

The Features of the Mazda MX-5

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Mazda MX-5. We can start with the exterior design of the Mazda MX-5. The current generation of the Mazda MX-5 named ND2 Generation because of the updates. It has got a smooth body design with sharp and aerodynamic lines. These features make MX-5 more sportive and dynamic. In addition to that, MX-5 separates itself from the other standard roadsters with unique back design. They call this feature as Retractable Fastback. It is an innovative roof and back design for the vehicle which makes MX-5 more like a Coupe class vehicle rather than roadster. When we take a closer look at the details on MX-5, it looks like Mazda's design team done a successful job. All of the details on the body design seems created with great harmony. Headlights and taillights looking so modern and also basic in a good way. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Mazda MX-5. When we step into the cabin of Mazda MX-5, minimalist and basic design features welcome us. It looks like the design team worked very carefully and driver-oriented. Each control mechanism and display screen placed perfectly practical. While working on these details, we can see the dynamic color palette used on cabin parts. Finally, we are going to talk about the technological features of the Mazda MX-5. First of all, we can start with the efficient infotainment system MZD Connect. It is the general infotainment software of the Mazda brand. However, it has got a lot of practical features that adapt the driver and the passenger to the road easily by using social media and information data. In addition to that, the i-Eloop feature is one of the most important features among the driving technologies on Mazda MX-5. The braking system collects the energy on the disks by transfer it to the batteries and using it to maintain power to the other systems of the vehicle. Finally, the i-ACTIV four-wheel driving system providing an effective and comfortable driving experience to the driver on different road circumstances.

The Fuel Consumption of the Mazda MX-5

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Mazda MX-5. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That’s why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Mazda MX-5 has got two standard engine varieties such as; 1.5 and 2.0. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is; 1.5. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1496 cm3 size. It is using a Petrol feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Petrol type engine. It can produce 132 HP and 7000 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.5 has got an 8,0lt/100km (which refers to 35 MPG in the UK) MPG Performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption performance decreasing to 5,0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as; Highways or Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two MPG data, we get a 6,0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption rate. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is; 2.0. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1998 cm3 size. It is a Petrol Type Engine which produces 184 Horsepower and 7000 RPM Torque. 2.0 has got an 8,0lt/100km (which refers to 35 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 5,0lt/100km (which refers to 56 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 6,0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in the UK) average MPG data.

Does It Suit You?
