Mazda 2 Review

The Mazda 2 is a Supermini class car produced by the Japanese automaker Mazda Motor Company. Also known as Demio, the car was first produced in 1996. The car has a history of four generations and is still being produced by Mazda. The current generation is called "DJ". In terms of design, when the Mazda 2 is examined, we see that it has a very modern and sympathetic design. Contrary to the sporty and sharp body lines that have become a trend today, the Mazda 2 has a much more curved and dynamic body design. When it comes to interior design, we see that the cabin of the car has an extremely simple and purposeful design. It has not been elaborated too much but has been created with quality materials and a practical layout.

The technical specifications and fuel consumption of the Mazda 2 are our focus in this section. In this regard, we need to talk about details such as the engine options and fuel consumption of the Mazda 2. However, while talking about these details, we limit the engine options under two categories in order not to bore you. These categories are; The Best Fuel-Economy and Most Popular engine options. Mazda 2 has three standard engine options such as 1.5 SKYAKTIV-G, 1.5 SKYACTIVE-D and 1.5 SKYACTIVE-G. First of all, we can say that in terms of fuel consumption efficiency best engine option is 1.5 SKYACTIVE-D. It is a four-cylindered engine with a 1499 cm3 size. It is an engine that uses diesel fuel feed system. It can produce 105 horsepower and 4000 RPM torque. According to the official factory data, 1.5-D has got a 3,8lt/100km (which refers to 74 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 3,2lt/100km (which refers to 88 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these fuel consumption data, we get a 3,4lt/100km (which refers to 83 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption. Now let's focus on the 1.5 SKYACTIVE-G, the most popular engine. This engine is preferred in terms of both low fuel consumption and adequate performance. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1496 cm3 size. It is a Gasoline Type Engine which produces 115 Horsepower and 6000 RPM Torque. 1.5-G has got a 6,4lt/100km (which refers to 44 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage.
