Jaguar XF Review

Today, we are going to talk about the Jaguar XF. We are going to focus on XF model under three main categories such as; The Features of the Jaguar XF, The Fuel Consumption of the Jaguar XF, Does It Suits You? Before starting to analysis, I want to give you some general information about Jaguar XF. It is a four doored medium-sized luxury car which produced by Jaguar Land Rover Motor Company. XF designed as an innovation plan for S-Type by Jaguar’s designer Ian Callum. It is introduced in 2007 Autumn at Frankfurt Motor Show. The development process made progress at the Whitley Design and Development Headquarters. Then, this design assembled in Castle Bromwich Assembly Facility which located at Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The Features of the Jaguar XF

Now, we will make some conversation about the feature of the Jaguar XF. First, let’s talk about the body structure of XF. The lightweight aluminium body structure provides more than one beneficial feature to XF such as; fuel efficient performance, swift driving skills and green friendly low emission rate. Moreover, athletic and aggressive body design combine the perfect curvy sides in one vehicle. Also, Jaguar offers the unique Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) which includes Four Wheel Drive and Adaptive Surface Response (AdSR) which adapts the driving style to different road circumstances perfectly. When we get into the Interior Design, the first point which takes the attention is Head Up Display System. It is a premium segment technology which replaced with the old fashioned manual dashboards. With the laser technology, even direct sunlight cannot block your sight when you try to read the important notifications about the vehicle. Also, the InControl Touch Pro Multimedia System which connects you to the world makes XF so attractive. By touching to 10.2 inched Multi Touch Screen you can access to the features such as; 2D and 3D Satellite Navigation System, The Wi-Fi Hotspot Technology which offers the internet connection via antenna source and other multimedia feature which are compatible with the Apple Car Play and Android Auto. For your driving safety, XF also offers the Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Active Park Assist System and JaguarDrive Control which allows you to choose different driving modes for different driving styles. For example, ECO Drive mode offers a fuel efficient driving experience to the driver.

The Fuel Consumption of the Jaguar XF

Let’s focus on the fuel consumption of the Jaguar XF now. We are going to analyse the fuel consumption performance of the Jaguar XF by examining the engine types of the XF. We will do it under two categories such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Jaguar XF has nine standard engine options such as; 20d, 20t, 25d, 25t, 30d, 30t, 35t, E-Performance and S. We are going to start with the most economical one which is; E-Performance. It is a four cylindered, 1999 cm3 sized, Diesel type engine which produces 163 Horsepower and 4000 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, it has got a 4.8lt/100km (which refers to 59 MPG in UK) MPG Performance in Urban usage. However, this performance decreasing to 3.6lt/100km (which refers to 78 MPG in UK) in Extra Urban usage such as; Highways or Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two data we get a 4.0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in UK) average fuel consumption. Second, we are going to examine the most powerful one which is; S AWD Automatic. It is a six cylindered, 2995 cm3 sized, Petrol type engine which produces 380 Horsepower and 6500 RPM Torque. It has got a 11.9lt/100km (which refers to 24 MPG in UK) MPG Rate in Urban usage. On the other hand, in Extra Urban usage it has got a 6.7lt/100km (which refers to 42 MPG in UK) fuel consumption performance. When we gather these two data we get an 8.6lt/100km (which refers to 33 MPG in UK) average mile per gallon rate.
