Rolls-Royce Ghost Review
In this review, we are going to examine a phenomenal car. Yeah! We are talking about the Rolls-Royce Ghost! We will focus on the details about the Rolls-Royce Ghost, under three main categories such as; The Features of the Rolls-Royce Ghost, The Fuel Consumption of the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Does It Suit You? By using a categorized classification, we can provide effective information about the vehicle. Before beginning the review, I would like to give some general information about the history of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. It is a Full-Sized Luxury Class vehicle that has been developed under the “RR04” project name. The main purpose of the design was creating an affordable alternative model for the prestigious Phantom model. Rolls-Royce worked and developed a proper vehicle in terms of this purpose. However, they should have put an iconic name on this project. They decided to choose "Ghost", which is related to the historical Rolls-Royce model “Silver Ghost”. Then Ghost made his debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Features of the Rolls-Royce Ghost
In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the exterior design of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Current generation of the Rolls-Royce Ghost introduced in 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The quality promised by the Rolls-Royce brand is clearly visible at first glance in Ghost's body. The body of the vehicle is very compact and durable. However, instead of a rough and bad design, it combines this power with a very smooth design. The most striking detail among the vehicle's design features is the doors, which have a very different operating principle compared to other vehicles. Unlike standard vehicles, these doors open in opposite directions. Thus, entering the vehicle becomes very practical and comfortable. At the same time, the iconic front grille design of the car seems to be preserved. In addition to this grille design, the vehicle's nose design benefits from all the blessings of today's technology. The redesigned headlights, continuous daytime running lights and sensor placement are very effective. The hood ornament represents the traditional quality of the Rolls-Royce brand. Now, let’s step into the Rolls-Royce Ghost’s interior design. Since Ghost is a luxury class car, you can personalize the interior design as you wish. Just pay for it. You can choose from top quality wood to extremely rare materials. While these details are quite attractive, it does not mean that the other materials used in the cockpit are of poor quality. You can see the highest quality, even in the smallest detail in the cockpit. Finally, let’s talk about the observations on the technological features of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. First of all, I should point out that there is no limit to the technological features that will be added extra to Ghost. If the fee is paid, you can integrate many technological tools, including the computer system, into the vehicle. However, there are many technological features in the vehicle's standard equipment. For example, the "Satellite Aided Transmission" feature allows you to track your vehicle via GPS to determine the most efficient gear level you can use in your geography and provide a more comfortable journey. At the same time, many features such as the Dynamic Driving Package and the advanced infotainment system are also available in the car.
The Fuel Consumption of the Rolls-Royce Ghost
Finally, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Rolls-Royce Ghost. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel economy analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That’s why we are using distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. However, Rolls-Royce Ghost’s most commonly used engine type is 6.6. So, we are going to analyze this engine type with the useful details. 6.6 has got a twelve cylindered inner engine structure with a 6592 cm3 size. It is quite big and powerful. 6.6 is using a petrol based fuel injection system. So, we can say that it is a petrol type engine. This engine is capable of producing 570 horsepower and a torque of 5250 RPM. According to the official factory data, 6.6 has got a 21,2lt/100km (which refers to 13 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption rate in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption performance decreasing to 9,8lt/100km (which refers to 29 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as; Highways or Long Distance Trip. When we combine these two MPG Rate, we get a 14,0lt/100km (which refers to 20 MPG in the UK) average MPG performance.
Does It Suit You?
To be honest, the Rolls-Royce Ghost is not a vehicle that anyone can buy. The price is quite high. At the same time, the V12 engine is quite powerful. Therefore, it is nearly impossible to save on fuel consumption. However, if you don't have a budget problem, Rolls-Royce Ghost will tell you again what a comfortable car means. Ghost’s luxury features and quality materials will make you feel like a king.
