20.08.2017I recently purchased my e220 bluetec coupe 2015 with 20k miles and very pleased with the car. Apart from the fuel economy my own click to click test combined motoring keeping within the speed limits returned 38.7 mpg. I complained to Marshalls Mercedes Preston Lancs, they kindly, under warranty did there own click to click test over 65 miles there return was an astonishing 64mpg with receipts for start and finish fuel and pics of the speedometer. The timing between the receipts was 1 and a half hours an average speed of 43mph The service manager assured me that the controlled test was extra urban within speed limits . Why can`t Mercedes and there franchised service depts. be honest and declare mpg figures on normal relaxed driving kept within speed limits. Very misleading and dishonest. Trading standard should be alerted. I was also told by the service manager not to trust the cars computer mpg readout. I do hope the speedometer is correct. tt
