Renault > Fluence WLTP, MPG, Fuel consumption

Select the motor type for the year.

In this review, we are going to take a closer look at the Renault Fluence. We will examine the details about the Renault Fluence under three main categories such as The Features of the Renault Fluence, The Fuel Consumption of the Renault Fluence and Basic Characteristics of Renault Fluence. These categories prepared for explaining the vehicle from any perspective. Before beginning the review, I would like to share some general information about the history of the Renault Fluence. Fluence is a Compact Sedan car first produced by French automaker Renault in 2012. Built on Renault's C Platform, the model also has an electric variant. Although the car remained on the market in Europe until 2016, Renault focused on the Megane model in the following period for the European market, but the Fluence model was withdrawn from the market.

The Features of the Renault Fluence

In this part of the review, we are going to focus on the features of the Renault Fluence. We can start with the exterior design of the Renault Fluence. Fluence has a very wide and sympathetic body design in terms of appearance. Although it has undergone some facelift changes over the years, the overall dimensions of the body have remained the same. In the last generation, the front grille has a black design with the traces of Renault's design concept of that period. In addition, the section where the fog lights are located has been separately integrated with the daytime running light system. This has made Fluence's design much more modern. Now, we are moving on to the interior design of the Renault Fluence. The interior design of the car is based on ease of use and efficiency rather than luxury. Launched with two different colour options, Fluence has one light colour and one dark interior upholstery option. The top trim also has a useful multimedia screen in the centre console. Of course, this screen is not touchscreen due to the low cost of the car. There are classic manual control mechanisms at the bottom. Besides, a semi-digital instrument cluster, although not fully digital, makes it easy for the driver to read the instrument cluster. The cabin of the car is quite large and spacious. For this reason, it offers a very comfortable travel experience.

The Fuel Consumption of the Renault Fluence

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Renault Fluence. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That is why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as The Most Economical One and The Most Powerful One. Renault Fluence has got three standard engine varieties such as 1.5 dCi, 1.6 and 2.0. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. We can start with the most economical one which is 1.5 dCi. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1461 cm3 size. It is using a Diesel feed fuel system so we can say that it is a Diesel type engine. It can produce 110 HP and 4000 RPM Torque. According to the official factory data, 1.5 dCi has got a 5,2lt/100km (which refers to 54 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 4,4lt/100km (which refers to 64 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now we will focus on the most powerful engine, which is 2.0. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1997 cm3 size. It is a Petrol Type Engine which produces 140 Horsepower and 6000 RPM Torque. 2.0 has got a 10,5lt/100km (which refers to 27 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 6,1lt/100km (which refers to 46 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 7,7lt/100km (which refers to 37 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
