Mini Roadster Review
The Mini Coupe is a Sport Compact car that has been manufactured by the British Mini brand, one of the sub-brands of German automaker BMW, since 2011 and discontinued in 2015. Although the car is produced by a German manufacturer, its main production is made in England. It has a history of a generation, also known as the R59 generation. It went down in history as the second two-seater convertible model added to the inventory of the Mini brand after the Mini Coupe. Although it has a much more sporty and dynamic structure than a standard Mini Cooper in terms of design, it has the same design features as Cooper except for minor details in terms of general concept.
Mini Roadster Technical Specifications and Fuel Consumption
The technical specifications and fuel consumption of the Mini Roadster are our focus in this section. In this regard, we need to talk about details such as the engine options and fuel consumption of the Mini Roadster. However, while talking about these details, we limit the engine options under two categories in order not to bore you. These categories are; The Best Fuel-Economy and Most Popular engine options. Mini Roadster has two standard engine options such as 1.6 and 2.0 D. First of all, we can say that in terms of fuel consumption efficiency best engine option is 2.0 D. It is a four-cylindered engine with a 1995 cm3 size. It is a diesel type engine. It can produce 143 horsepower and 4000 RPM torque. According to the official factory data, 2.0 D has got a 5,3lt/100km (which refers to 53 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 4,5lt/100km (which refers to 63 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now let's focus on the 1.6, the most popular engine. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1598 cm3 size. It is a Petrol Type Engine which produces 184 Horsepower and 5500 RPM Torque. 1.6 has got a 7,5lt/100km (which refers to 38 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 5,1lt/100km (which refers to 55 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 6,0lt/100km (which refers to 47 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
