Mini Cabrio Review

The Mini Hatch or known as the Mini Cooper is a Supermini class car produced by the German automaker BMW under the British Mini brand. The car, which started to be produced in 2000, is still being produced today and still maintains its popularity. The Mini concept car was first introduced at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in 1997. The car has a history of three generations and the most recent generation is the F Series. Although the original version is still produced in the UK, the Convertible version is produced exclusively on Dutch soil. The next generation Mini Cooper is basically built on the BMW UKL1 platform. When we look at the exterior design of the car, we see a car with softer lines and more aerodynamically efficient compared to previous generations. In addition, minimal approaches in interior design are beautifully combined with today's technology to create a practical driver-oriented cabin layout.

Mini Cabrio Technical Specifications and Fuel Consumption

Now, we are going to focus on the fuel consumption of the Mini Cabrio. We usually work on popular engine types and making analyses on them by checking details for an efficient fuel consumption analysis. While choosing the right car, you need specific and simple information. That’s why we are using this distinction method to make things easier for you. We use two main categories to make a useful distinction such as; The Most Economical One and The Most Popular One. Mini Cabrio has got four standard engine varieties such as; 1.5, 1.5 D, 2.0 and 2.0 D. We are going to analyse two of them as the most economical and the most powerful one. First of all, we can say that in terms of fuel consumption efficiency best engine option is 1.5 D. It is a four-cylindered engine with a 1496 cm3 size. It is a diesel type engine. It can produce 116 horsepower and 4000 RPM torque. According to the official factory data, 1.5 D has got a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) mpg performance in Urban usage. However, this fuel consumption rate decreasing to 3,0lt/100km (which refers to 94 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage such as Highways or Long-Distance Trip. When we combine these mpg data, we get a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) average mpg performance. Now let's focus on the 2.0 D, the most popular engine. It has got a four cylindered engine structure with a 1995 cm3 size. It is a Diesel Type Engine which produces 170 Horsepower and 4000 RPM Torque. 2.0 D has got a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) fuel consumption in Urban usage. On the other hand, this MPG rate decreasing to 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) in Extra Urban usage. When we gather these two fuel consumption data, we get a 4,0lt/100km (which refers to 71 MPG in the UK) average fuel consumption data.
