The Features of the Alfa Romeo 159

Now, we will talk about the features of the Alfa Romeo 159 in this part of the article. We are going to start with the exterior design. It is designed by Italdesign Giugiaro S.P.A. 159 has got a coupe design which is aggressive and sportive. At the front part, the iconic Alfa Romeo’s V shaped grille design and cylindered headlights creates an attractive look. 159 also, designed as a big sized car especially for the potential customers who lives in United States. Ironically, 159 never exported to the United States at the time of marketing. When we move on to the interior design, we can see a simple structure which angled towards driver. Alfa Romeo planned a design strategy to compete with the premium rivals such as; BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. As a part of this strategy, cabin has got some beautiful details like, Alfa Romeo logo on the seats and on the pedals, the dashboard instruction writings which written in Latin and Extra Digital Climate Control for passenger seats. However, this strategy has been a failure for many of automotive authorities because of the misplacement of the brand when compared to the premium class brands. When we move on to the technological features, 159 has got a simple multimedia system which is a standard CD Player Radio. On the other hand, safety features of 159 is fair enough for a Compact Executive Car. It has got Hill Hold Assist (which provides a brake assist to driver for a good launch on a steep road.). Also features such as; Traction Control System, EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution System) and Electronic Stability System offers a safe and comfortable driving experience to the driver and passengers.

Does It Suit You?

If you ask me, I would say it depends on your expectations. It is a well designed and practical compact vehicle. It has got a good amount of cabin space for a large family or for loading stuff. When we check out the technological features, maybe the Multimedia System is a little bit old fashioned, but the driving features are fair enough for today’s conditions. Finally, it has got a perfect road performance when we compare it with the similar segment vehicles, but it is not a fuel efficient vehicle if you are looking for performance. The economical variant might be a good choice if you are looking for a low budget version of 159.
